Glosses on المطوّل , by ḤASAN CHALABÎ (b. Muḥammad Shâh Fanârî, d. A.H. 886). Cf. Ḥ. Kh. ii. 405. Printed at Constantinople, 1854.

Begins, without a preface:

الهمنا حقائق المعانى و دقائق البيان الاقرب الى الفهم ان المراد بالالهام فى هذا المقام معناه اللغوى الخ

Well written in Nasta’liḳ. Has the following colophon:

تمة ( sic ) الكتاب بعون الملك الوهاب شهر ربيع الاولى مورخا ۱٩ مقام سيكرى سنة ٩٨٣ كاتب محمود جلال سركرهى

Revised. Some notes by a later hand. On the last two pages is written a charm. The latter portion is injured by damp and insects.

Bîj. Libr. A.H. 1023; bought out of the left property of Shaikh ‘Alam Allah (b. ‘Abd-alrazzâḳ Makkî Ḥanafî ‘Aidarûsî, whose signature is to be found on the title-page). Fol. 121 is wrongly inscribed كتاب حاشيه ابن حاجب در علم معانى و بيان . Cf. Catal. 237, ix.

[ed note: Glosses on al-Muṭawwal المطول of Taftāzānī, Masʻūd ibn ʻUmar, 1322-1389? التفتازاني، سعد الدين مسعود بن عمر , which is a commentary on the Talkhīṣ al-miftāḥ تلخيص المفتاح of Qazwīnī, Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān, 1267 or 8-1338 القزوينى، جلا ل الدين محمد بن عبدالرحمان. This last work is, in turn, an abridgement of the Miftāḥal-ʻulūm مفتاح العلوم of Sakkākī, Yūsuf ibn Abī Bakr, b. 1160 السكاكي، يوسف بن أبي بكر]
