Although considered a pest and major health threat by many, the rat is an important model organism to help understand human physiology and disease. Here, the purpose of this study was to systematically profile the expression of miRNA in PS-induced hepatic fibrosis and further investigated the possible roles of miRNAs played in the fibrogenesis by prediction of the potential target genes of differentially expressed miRNAs.
