Amargosa vole fecal/foregut microbiota 16S. Amargosa vole (Microtus californicus scirpensis)

Investigators analyzed feces from voles on three different diets (captive, captive-transitional, and wild) as well as foregut contents from voles on two different diets (captive and wild). The aim of the study is to characterize the fecal and foregut microbiota of the endangered Amargosa vole to determine how diet in captivity may influence microbial composition and inform captive management for effective conservation.
