Knockdown of xenotropic and polytropic retrovirus receptor 1 in thyroid cancer cells

Xenotropic and polytropic retrovirus receptor 1 (XPR1), initially identified as a receptor for murine leukemia viruses, has been shown to function as a phosphate exporter, maintaining inorganic phosphate homeostasis in cells. Recently, XPR1 was recognized as a late-stage neoantigen-related gene in thyroid cancer; however, its functions in this context have not been well characterized. Thyroid cancer cell line TPC-1 was transfected with either a control siRNA or an siRNA targeting XPR1. Total RNA was extracted and subjected to RNA-seq.
