Morphological and wingbeat frequency data supporting scaling-law analyses of avian flapping flight

This dataset contains species-level morphological parameters and wingbeat frequency data used in the analyses of avian flapping flight presented in the associated manuscript. The repository includes Excel files with body mass, wingspan, wing area, hand-wing index (HWI), experimentally measured wingbeat frequency, and wingbeat frequencies predicted using multiple scaling-law models. In addition, wingtip kinematic trajectories extracted from high-speed video recordings using DeepLabCut (DLC) are provided. Morphological data were derived from the AVONET database, and all processed datasets correspond to the variables used for figures and analyses in the manuscript. Column headers include units, and each table is accompanied by descriptive documentation.
