资源简介:
Description of Fuselloviridae adapted from ICTVdb Virion Properties Morphology Virions consist of an envelope and a nucleocapsid. Virus capsid is enveloped. Virions are lemon-shaped; flexible and have protrusions that extending through the envelope. Short tail-like fibers are attached to one pole. Virions measure 60 nm in diameter; 100 nm in length. Virion populations are comprised of populations in which some particles are of different sizes; some particles are 1 percent; some particles are larger; the length is about 300 nm. Physicochemical and Physical Properties Virions have a buoyant density in CsCl of 1.24 g cm-3. Nucleic Acid The genome is not segmented and contains a single molecule of circular; positively supercoiled, double-stranded DNA. The complete genome is 15500 nucleotides long. Proteins The viral genome encodes structural proteins. Lipids Lipids are present and located in the envelope. Virions are composed of 10% lipids by weight (which forms the coat and is of host origin). The composition of viral lipids and host cell membranes are similar. The lipids are of host origin and are derived from host cell membranes. Proteins of host derived membranes have been modified during post-translational processes. Host-derived membranes contain two virus-encoded proteins and DNA-associated protein.
