The Typhoon NEPARTAK-16 has reached its peak intensity as a Category equivalent tropical cyclone, and is expected to have a high humanitarian impact based on the storm strength and the potential affected population. It is forecast to continue moving north-west and it may make landfall along the eastern coast of Taiwan, near the border between of Hualien and Taitung counties on 7 July afternoon.<br>
