Next-Generation BRD4 Degraders: Trivalent and Fluorescent PROTACs, and Fluorogenic CLIPTACs

PROTACs are an emerging class of molecules that work differently from traditional drugs. Instead of blocking harmful proteins, they remove them using the cell’s own recycling system. This approach could lead to safer and more effective treatments for diseases such as cancer. This thesis developed advanced PROTACs with additional features targeting a cancer-related protein. These enhancements improved their efficacy, helped prevent resistance, and enabled scientists to track their activity inside living cells. These innovations not only improve potential therapies but also provide new ways to understand how complex biological systems function.
