To investigate the relationship between renal microbiome and the phenotype of inflammatory stromal infiltrate, we studied 10 samples of normal renal tissue and 30 samples of renal cell carcinoma (RCC): 10 clear cell RCC, 10 papillary RCC, 10 chromogenic RCC. The renal microbiomes were analyzed by 16S rRNA amplicon-based sequencing. Phenotype of the tumor stroma for every sample was characterized using immunohistochemistry.
