The Price of Utility: Verification Leverage in Useful-Work Browser Admission — code and result data

Code snapshot and result ledgers supporting the manuscript “The Price of Utility: Verification Leverage in Useful-Work Browser Admission” (submitted to SN Computer Science). The code archive (useful-work-admission-code-3e55ed2.zip) is the exact repository commit 3e55ed2 cited by the paper. It contains the AutoDock Vina decomposition drivers, the browser WebAssembly workers, the admission and verification prototypes, the classifier verification kernels, the simulators, the analysis scripts, and the figure and manuscript builders. The SN Computer Science manuscript is regenerated by docs/paper/sncs/build_sncs.py. The results archive (useful-work-admission-results-3e55ed2.zip) holds the unmodified output of every experiment reported, in 33 result directories: stock Vina qualification and build-equivalence gates; the 2,073-pair matched decomposition campaign; unit-level, adaptive and admission-economics attacks; the scientific-integrity experiments and rescoring-driver verification; two phone timing studies and phone classifier inference; the original and corrected five-seed availability simulations and the proof-of-work gate baseline; classifier verification leverage, batching, native verification, repetition, a second-host check and the layer-width sweep; real HTTP replay, heterogeneous unit costs, sleeper identities and the screened-newcomer lane. It also includes the four trained classifiers, because retraining is not bit-exact. Earlier attempts and failed predictions are preserved. README.md in the results archive maps each directory to the paper section it supports, and SHA256SUMS lists every file. The evaluation protocol and all twenty-five predeclared amendments are in the code archive at docs/ADVERSARIAL_EVALUATION_PROTOCOL_2026-09-22.md. Licences: the code is MIT-licensed. AutoDock Vina and other upstream components are fetched and patched at build time and keep their own licences. The result data are licensed CC BY 4.0.
