Data sets of simulated China wind/solar power density. base.mat includes basic information: (1) Location of provincial and regional electricity grids. (2) Available areas to install onshore/offshore wind turbines and solar PV at the grid cell scale. (3) Location of optimal wind turbine types. Second_A_X.mat (s) include simulated wind/solar power density at hourly and grid cell scale. 1- Northeast grid; 2- North grid; 3- East grid; 4- Central grid; 5- Southeast grid; 6- Northwest grid; 7- South grid.
