This dataset was used to perform the social network analysis in the publication: Orthopaedic device innovation in South Africa: a study of patenting activity.<br>Patent dataset of Orthopaedic device innovation in South Africa.pdf comprises a list of patents which was generated following from the Methodology of the publication. It is listed in chronological order. This list of patents was used in 5-year moving window periods to determine the organisational actors who contribute towards knowledge development and knowledge diffusion through networks for orthopaedic device innovation in South Africa. The Methodology of the publication describes how to use these patents to derive organisational actors. This dataset contains a READme.txt file.
