Intranasal mucoadhesive biomaterials for nose-to-brain neuroactive delivery: platform design and model-informed translation for time-bounded CNS exposure

This dataset supports the review article entitled “Intranasal mucoadhesive biomaterials for insomnia-relevant neuroactive delivery: a comprehensive review of platforms, devices, evidence credibility, and model-informed translation.” The PRISMA flow counts are based on the accompanying PRISMA 2020 flow diagram: 1,245 records were identified from databases, 615 duplicates and 152 other records were removed before screening, 478 records were screened, 353 reports were sought for retrieval, 152 reports were assessed for eligibility, and 18 studies were included in the review. All data were derived from published studies cited in the review article and its supplementary materials. No individual participant-level data, patient-level data, or unpublished experimental data were generated.
