This is the dataset of "A refined Monte Carlo code for low-energy electron emission from gold material irradiated with sub-keV electrons". This dataset includes the calculated cross sections of electron-gold solid interactions used in the Monte Carlo code, calculated results from secondary electron emission simulations and simulated energy deposition results. The elastic mean free path (inverse of macroscopic cross section) was calculated using ELSEPA and modified by electron-phonon scattering theory. The inelastic mean free path and stopping power were calculated using the dielectric theory which includes Ritchie and Mermin model. The secondary electron yield (SEY), backscattering coefficient (BSC) and electron spectra were derived by simulated the seondary electron emission using the Monte Carlo code in this study. The energy deposition depth profile and energy deposition in the 3D voxels were also calculated using the function in the Monte Carlo code. The information of each data is given as follows:File "Phonon dispersion relation.opju" contains the fitted phonon dispersion relation of gold and original experimental dispersion relation. The fitting parameters were described in the paper.File "Eph-mott.opju" is the new elastic mean free path (Mott-eph) interpolated from the Mott cross-sections and electron-phonon cross-sections.File "Fitted energy-loss function.opju" and "Fitted Optical ELF.txt" contain the fitted parameters of the optical energy-loss function of gold and contribution of each electronic shell obtained from the combined oscillators.File "Inelastic Mean Free Path.opju" is the comparison of the calculated inelastic mean free path and published data.File "Inner Shells and Gryzinski.opju" is the comparison of the calculated inner shell cross sections and results from Gryzinski's formula.File "Stopping power.opju" is the Calculated stopping power and comparison with other published data.File "SEE simulation.opju" contains the secondary electron yield (SEY), backscattering coefficient (BSC) and electron spectra obtained in the simulation of secondary electron emission using the Monte Carlo code.File "Energy deposition.opju" contains the calculated energy deposition depth profile and energy deposition in the 3D voxels using the Monte Carlo code.
