Analisi della grammatica dei clitici negli statuti di due accademie brasiliane del XVIII secolo

The present contribution reports the results of a first observation on the placement of clitic pronouns in the founding statutes of two eighteenth-century Brazilian academies. The intent is to search for prodromes of an endogenous Brazilian grammar already in the written production of the eighteenth century, since Tarallo (1996) and other scholars have highlighted the emergence of a Brazilian grammar in the nineteenth century. Our hypothesis is that in this period there is a competition of grammars that would let discordant and uneven traits on texts of the same period emerge. The analysis is part of a research, whose results are still partial, aimed at verifying the possibility that the non-fictional written productions of the Brazilian academies of the eighteenth century were depositories of prodromes and manifestations of the emergence of a Brazilian, therefore endogenous, Portuguese grammar.
