Sedimentary phosphorus content and sediment-water DIP fluxes in the Baltic Sea
收藏资源简介:
This dataset compiles sedimentary phosphorus data from the Baltic Sea. It brings together solid-phase phosphorus speciation, porewater profiles, and in situ sediment–water flux measurements from the Baltic Sea collected after 2000, drawn from 19 published sources together with previously unpublished data. The Excel workbook contains six sheets: Metadata — definitions and units for every column. SolidPhase — 1,653 measurements from 150 stations (2002–2019): sequentially extracted P fractions (Pex, PFe, Paut, Pdet, PAl, Pcalc, Porg, Prest, Ptot), organic carbon, total Fe, Al, porosity, water content, sediment accumulation rates, porewater DIP and dissolved Fe, with station coordinates, water depth, bottom-water salinity and oxygen, and the extraction method and source publication. Fluxes — in situ benthic fluxes of dissolved inorganic phosphorus (DIP) and dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) from 59 stations (2001–2021), with bottom-water conditions and major Baltic inflow (MBI) flags. Fluxes were calculated using the R script FLUXER (https://github.com/AstridHylen/FLUXER/tree/v1.2.0, Hylén & van de Velde, 2025). FluxesUnitResults — per-chamber fluxes with fit statistics. FluxesSampleResults — the underlying incubation concentration time series. References — full citations for all source studies.
