资源简介:
Viral hepatitis, which is widespread throughout the world, is one of the main public health problems. Caused by different etiological agents, these diseases have in common the development of severe cases of liver disease, especially hepatitis B (HBV) and Delta (HDV) viruses. In this context, within the Western Amazon, the state of Rondonia (RO) has the characteristics of a highly endemic region for viral hepatitis, mainly due to the high number of cases of co-infection with the B and Delta viruses, related to more severe clinical conditions and epidemiological profiles that are different from other places in the world. Studies on the evolution of hepatitis B and Delta in this region are scarce and limited to clinical and epidemiological data. The aim of this proposal is to evaluate the virological, immunological and genetic influences on patients chronically infected with the hepatitis B virus and co-infected with the delta virus, in relation to their clinical profile.
