Drag (Savonius) wind turbine - various performance results
收藏资源简介:
The following data set is a short compilation of various drag wind turbine, also known as Savonius turbines, parameters. 15 sources were consulted for this data, for a total of 147 observations and 9 variables. The collected variables are: The actual (as given) maximum dynamic moment coefficient. The actual (as given) near static dynamic moment coefficient. The actual (as given) static moment coefficient. The projected (extrapolated) ideal static moment coefficient. The actual (as given) final tip-speed-ratio. The projected (extrapolated) final tip-speed-ratio. The given coefficient of power. The given optimal tip-speed-ratio. Some of the observations may lack some of the above variables, in which case, they are denoted with NA. Caution is needed when dealing with the extrapolated data as graphical extraction was used to obtain this data and is thus subject to discretization. The data set also includes additional information relative to the observation itself, including: The source it came from. The section and/or source test it came from. Whether the observation corresponds to a lone drag turbine or configued drag turbine, where: Lone turbines consists of drag turbine that are exposed to an unmodified air flow and whos performance is primarly derived from its design alone. Configured turbines consist of drag turbines who's exposed air flow is modified through equipments (e.g.: baffles, shrouds) or arrangements (e.g.:arrays). This data set should only serve as a fundation for light reviews of drag (Savonius) wind turbines due to the limited numbers of sources, some of which are unpublished.
