<p>全球海洋微生物组数据库(GOMC)构建了拥有超4.31万个海洋微生物基因组和24.58亿个基因序列,包含全球多样化的海洋生态系统,是已报道海洋基因组数据库 Tara Ocean 的3倍、蛋白序列库的60倍。GOMC数据库还提供各种酶的高效挖掘工作的相关算法工具,包括序列筛选、结构预测、结构筛选等模块,用户可基于数据库了解到全球海洋微生物群落的生物地理分布规律,为理解微生物在不同海洋环境中的遗传连通性提供了新的视角。</p>

The Global Ocean Microbiome Database (GOMC) houses over 431,000 marine microbial genomes and 2.458 billion gene sequences, covering globally diverse marine ecosystems. It is 3 times the size of the previously reported marine genomic database Tara Ocean and 60 times that of the protein sequence repository. Additionally, the GOMC database provides algorithmic tools for efficient enzyme mining, including modules such as sequence screening, structure prediction, and structure screening. Users can obtain the biogeographic distribution patterns of global marine microbial communities via this database, offering novel perspectives for understanding the genetic connectivity of microorganisms across different marine environments.
