SOZIALE PROBLEME IN DER LITERATUR DES NATURALISMUS (G. HAUPTMANN)

This article analyzes the representation of social problems in naturalist literature based on the works of Gerhart Hauptmann. The study examines the socio-economic conditions of the late 19th century, the deterministic approach, and the main aesthetic principles of naturalism. Special attention is given to the dramas “The Weavers” and “Before Sunrise,” where issues such as poverty, exploitation, alcoholism, and social inequality are vividly depicted. The results show that Hauptmann’s works serve as an important instrument of social criticism within the framework of naturalism.
