These data supplement the article “Exploring the capacity of aquatic biofilms to act as environmental DNA samplers: test on macroinvertebrate communities in rivers” Sinziana F. Rivera, Valentin Vasselon, Nathalie Mary, Olivier Monnier, Fréderic Rimet & Agnès Bouchez submitted to Stoten journal. ----------------------------------------- The directory contains a curated macroinvertebrate reference library targeting a 461 bp fragment (including primers) of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I gene (COI). The reference library contains 15,399 DNA sequences from 5 phyla, 11 classes, 19 orders, 526 families and 2974 macroinvertebrate genera. ----------------------------------------- “COI_04719_tax.tax”: text-based file containing the taxonomic affiliation of each nucleotide sequences from the reference library ----------------------------------------- “COI_04719seqs.fasta”: text-based file containing all the nucleotide sequences from the reference library
