Replication Data for: Reddit posts related to Artificial intelligence categorized using Plutchik's wheel of emotions

The research proposes to examine discourse about Artificial Intelligence systems in Reddit communities and categorise the wide array of reports into emotional responses. The categorisation of emotional responses is based on psychological concepts derived from Plutchik’s research into the spectrum of emotions. The results of the research highlight the role media plays in influencing the opinions of the users about relationships with computer companions. Results also show how constant interaction with Artificial Intelligence systems provide the users with a theoretical framework of reference that helps them identify design flaws of Ai systems pertaining to social intelligence.
