The Wikidata Knee Replacement Ecosphere: Dataset Description and Documentation
收藏资源简介:
The Wikidata Knee Replacement Ecosphere is an open, structured knowledge graph of knee replacement surgery, built on Wikidata beginning in January 2026. It provides machine-readable entities, class hierarchies, and referenced statements covering the surgical techniques of total knee arthroplasty across three axes (alignment, approach, and guidance techniques), the enabling technology, and the surrounding patient education, advocacy, and professional education ecosystem. The dataset was conceived, modeled, and curated by a practicing, board-certified orthopedic surgeon so that the semantic layer used by search engines and AI systems reflects clinical reality rather than secondhand summarization. The underlying data resides on Wikidata under the CC0 1.0 public domain dedication and is queryable through the Wikidata SPARQL endpoints: scholarly article items on the scholarly graph (query-scholarly.wikidata.org) and all other items on the main graph (query.wikidata.org). This record contains the dataset description and documentation, including scope, data model, methodology under the Reference Verification Convention v2.0, and the contribution registry of created items, together with two machine-readable appendix files: a catalog of the Wikidata items created for the Ecosphere (Appendix A) and a snapshot catalog of the scholarly article items created, current as of August 9, 2026 (Appendix B). Appendix B catalogs only the scholarly article items created for the Ecosphere; pre-existing article items are not included in it. The Ecosphere is actively maintained and expanding; this record documents the dataset as of the version date, and documentation will be updated through versioned releases of this record.
