Reservations (Historical)

In Washington, D.C., "Reservations" refer to a specific collection of land originally owned by the federal government and primarily managed by the National Park Service (NPS). Unlike "Indian Reservations" (tribal homelands), D.C. Reservations are urban lots acquired through purchase, condemnation, or gift for federal use after the city's founding.在美国华盛顿哥伦比亚特区，"保留地"特指一批最初归联邦政府所有、主要由国家公园管理局（National Park Service，NPS）管理的土地。与"印第安保留地"（部落故土）不同，华盛顿特区的保留地是在该市建城后，通过购买、征收或捐赠等方式获得的、供联邦政府使用的城市地块。
