Cultural heritage and legacies of the 15 former Soviet republics in Denmark

This dataset documents cultural heritage sites, institutions and historical legacies in Denmark associated with the 15 former Soviet republics: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. It contains 115 unique records and 118 country assignments, including monuments, memorials, religious sites, diplomatic and cultural institutions, associations and NGOs, street names, royal and military heritage, and selected locations connected with Soviet and Cold War history. The deposit includes a country-structured KML file and an illustrated PDF catalogue with descriptions, coordinates, access notes, contacts and source links. Planned, approximate, shared, event-only, historic and reported locations are identified accordingly. Information and contact details were checked during compilation in August 2026 but should be verified before visiting or reusing individual records.
