A REVIEW ON MOISTURE TRANSMISSION PROPERTIES THROUGH TEXTILE CLOTHING

Thermo-physiological comfort is one of the important aspects of clothing  which enable to maintain a constant body temperature through the thermal balance of the heat generated by a persons body and to transfer it to the atmospheric environment. The thermo-physiological comfort of the clothing is mainly influenced by its moisture transmission ability and thermal resistance. This is due to the clothing comfort sensation is mainly determined by a balance process of moisture and heat exchange between the human body and the environment through the clothing system. The current paper aims to enhance the understanding of mechanism involved, various influencing parameters, current research regarding moisture transmission properties of fabric.
