Water quality monitoring in YEU-NOIRMOUTIER offshore wind farm before commissioning: Mooring time-series from June 2022 to July 2025

As part of the construction of the offshore wind farm off the islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier, a three-stage turbidity monitoring programme has been implemented:
- A first baseline phase carried out over a full year before the start of construction works (June 2022 – June 2023);
- The implementation of a turbidity monitoring procedure during the contruction phase, including continuous monitoring and alert thresholds (operational since the start of construction in July 2023);
- A post-construction monitoring conducted in July 2025. A second post-construction monitoring is planned for 2026 during the operational phase.
The dataset presented here comes from four continuous monitoring stations, measuring turbidity, temperature and salinity. All stations carry out surface measurements transmitted in real time via a programmable controller equipped with a 4G antenna. Two of them are also equipped with seabed probes, whose data are collected when the moorings are serviced during maintenance operations. 
At the surface, measurements are taken using YSI Exo3 multiparameter probes, while at the seabed they are taken using NKE WiMo probes.
