Small RNA-sequencing was performed on 16 undisclosed commercial Zantedeschia spp. cultivars that showed symptoms of possible virus infection. Sequences of virus-derived small interfering RNAs (vsiRNAs) were mapped against the genomes of known plant viruses (GenBank; nr) to identify possible infections with (RNA) viruses. The genome sequences of various new variants of known single-strand RNA viruses were constructed.
