Sony PlayStation 5 game consoles unit sales 2011-2024, by quarter

In the first fiscal quarter of 2024, Sony Corporation sold approximately 2.4 million PlayStation 5 gaming consoles, a notable decrease compared to the previous quarter as well as the same quarter in the previous year. Nonetheless, Sony sold a record number of PS5 units in Q3 FY 2023, with 8.2 million units sold. This brings the total of sold PS5 units globally in FY '23 to nearly 21 million units.
