Instructions:1) Download FAC, specimen 1 - 4 for the human specimens and FAC Macaca Mulatta / fractional anisotropy maps and run with 3D slicer for neuronavigation in transverse, sagittal, coronal planes.2) Download:program-data package for DSI STUDIO (https://dsi-studio.labsolver.org/download.html) and for 3D slicer (https://download.slicer.org/).Method:Diffusion tractography was performed on human specimen One from Duke University using DSI Studio (http://dsi-studio.labsolver.org/). A high-angular resolution diffusion MR imaging (HARDI) scheme was used, and a total of 120 diffusion sampling directions were acquired. The b-value was 4000 s/mm2. The in-plane resolution and the slice thickness were both 0.2 mm. The diffusion tensor was calculated.Download fib file (Reg_S64550_nii4d.nii.gz.src.gz.012fx.dti.fib) and Browse/open it with dsi studio. Double click on fib file to open. Open yellow folder in the Region Window of dsi studio and upload nodif_brain_mask.nii.gz file to render the tracts with an anatomical background GRE.Download and open with yellow folder in Tract list in dsi studio script for the descending and transverse fibres of the pons.trkData created in the Duke Center for In Vivo Microscopy (CIVM).
