The Meta-Structural Regenerative Model of Existential Exhaustion (MSRM-EE) A Transdisciplinary Philosophical-Psychological Framework for the Analysis and Reconstruction of Existential Capacity in Late Modernity

Abstract This article develops the Meta-Structural Regenerative Model of Existential Exhaustion (MSRM-EE), a transdisciplinary philosophical-psychological framework designed to explain the erosion and possible reconstruction of existential capacity under late-modern conditions. While existential philosophy, psychoanalysis, phenomenology, trauma theory, and critical social philosophy have each analyzed dimensions of human suffering, contemporary forms of exhaustion increasingly exceed the explanatory limits of these isolated paradigms. The central thesis of the present model is that late-modern subjects are increasingly exposed not merely to existential anxiety, alienation, repression, or meaninglessness, but to a progressive exhaustion of the structural capacities that make existential participation itself possible. In such conditions, the subject’s relation to temporality, embodiment, desire, symbolic organization, relationality, and ontological continuity undergoes gradual destabilization. Unlike reductionist clinical, neurobiological, or motivational frameworks, MSRM-EE conceptualizes existential exhaustion as a structurally emergent phenomenon produced through recursive interaction among temporal collapse, traumatic sedimentation, affective overload, symbolic constriction, ontological permeability, hyper-performative sociocultural systems, and chronic fragmentation of existential continuity. The model further proposes that existential regeneration is achievable through multidimensional reconstruction processes involving interruption of erosive repetition, restoration of existential boundaries, embodied re-stabilization, temporal reopening, regeneration of authentic desire, symbolic reconfiguration, non-possessive relationality, and slow existential ethics.
