Meta data: Quadrats - A 1 square meter quadrat was used randomly to record plant species in the grassland  Number of species - Categorical variable; the number of different plant species in the quadrats  Total number of species - Categorical variable; the total number of plant species in the quadrats Grass percentage: an estimated percentage of grass coverage over plants in the quadrats  Plants percentage: an estimated percentage of plants coverage over plants in the quadrats  Hypothesis: There is a correlation between growing plants in grasslands and the percentage of grass decreasing due to the occupancy of the percentage of plants species and their growing habitat  Prediction: The percentage of grass decreases as the percentage of plants species increases  The more species, the more the plants will thrive in the grassland  As plants increase in number, the percentage of plants coverage increases  Method: At the grassland location at York University, quadrats of 1 square meter were randomly placed in a grassland at  to observe and record plant species and their correlation to grass percentage around. The plant species in the quadrats were observed and recorded to identifying their species. The plant percentage was observed and recorded compared to the grass percentage in the quadrats. he experiment was repeated 25 times each at different location to make sure of randomization and to have a non bias data.
