Surface roughness from MODIS MOA calibrated against ICECAP nadar laser altimeter

We calculated a surface roughness estimate from the 125 m resolution 8 bit greyscale MODIS Mosaic of Antarctica (Scambos et al., 2007), calibrated against measurements from Operation IceBridge, ICECAP and other University of Texas at Austin Institute of Geophysics Level 2 Geolocated nadir laser altimetry (Riegl) data (Blankenship et al., 2012; Young et al., 2015).
