The objectives of this project were to demonstrate the controlled release of surfactants using environmentally benign metal-organic frameworks and to also investigate the synergistic effects of halloysites and surfactant in stabilizing emulsions. A polyphenolic stoppering agent was coordinated with Fe(III) and used an environmental friendly -metal-organic framework. In this project, dynamic interfacial tension resulting from the release of a model surfactant (Tween 80) from the HNTs was studied with inverted drop tensiometry.
