16S rRNA-based profiling of fecal bacterial communities from pigs fed diets supplemented with isoacids

Pigs of ~ 20 kg were divided into separate groups that were each fed different diets (NP: normal protein; LP: low protein; HF: high fiber; LF: low fiber) that were supplemented with isoacids (BCVFA): pre_treatment; NP_LF_BCVFA; NP_HF_BCVFA; LP_LF_BCVFA; LP_HF_BCVFA; LP_LF; NP_HF. Microbial DNA was extracted from fecal samples, then the V1-V3 region of the bacterial 16S rRNA was targeted by PCR and sequenced using an Illumina MiSeq(2X300) platform.
