This article examines the types of markets that operated in the Khiva Khanate during the 18th–19th centuries, their classification, and their role in the socio-economic life of the khanate. Based on written sources, archival documents, and the works of local and foreign authors, the study analyzes the degree of specialization, scale of operation, and functional characteristics of the markets within the territory of the khanate.
