On-farm broiler chicken litter monitoring

This study focused on sequencing the genomes of Salmonella isolates from broiler chicken litter to uncover the genetic factors contributing to their persistence and recurrence. The sequencing reads will provide detailed insights into the antimicrobial resistance genes, virulence factors, and plasmid content of these isolates. This genomic data is essential for understanding the evolutionary dynamics of Salmonella in poultry environments and informing targeted interventions for controlling its spread.
