Swine DNA methylation study using RRBS : FAANG

This study try to figure out the DNA methylation of swine which is one of important biomedical model animals as a part of the international swine methylome consortium. The single nucleotide resolution of swine DNA methylation profiles were generated using reduced representative bisulfite sequencing.The genomic DNA was isolated from five distinct tissues (neocortex, olfactory epithelium, liver, femoral muscle and spleen) of three different nine week-old male pigs and pulmonary alveolar macrophage cell line from the ATCC (3D4/2). The genomic DNA from the each tissues of three individual were pooled according to the same tissue type before the making a RRBS library.
