Effect of estrogen receptor alpha (ERa) signaling in dendritic cells in modulating autoimmune disease phenotype in animal model of Multiple Sclerosis

ERa has been shown to have a protective effect.We found that ERa deficiency in dendritic cells (DCs) of mice induced a phenotype “switch” in EAE, defined by severe neurodegeneration and resistance to interferon beta.
