Gene expression modification in lungs of rats exposed to DQ-12 by endotracheal instillation

In this work we study the pulmonary toxicological properties of cristalline silica DQ-12 using molecular toxicological approache. For this, we exposed Sprague Dawley rats by endotracheal instillation. Lung samples have been collected up to 180 days after the end of exposure and transcriptomics analysis were performed. 13 week old female Sprague Dawley rats were exposed by endotracheal instillation to DQ-12 (10 mg/rat). DQ-12-induced gene expression profile in rat lung was performed 1, 30 and 180 days post exposure (3 time points). Each time point is composed of 6 control, 6 exposed rats. A total of 36 samples (microarrays) was used.
