high-density genetic map construction for Platycladus orientalis

Platycladus orientalis is an important ecological afforestation conifer tree in north China and has a world-wide introduction record. The availability of well-evaluated genetic markers with large genome coverage is considered as one of the main prerequisites for the genetic dissection of the super adaptability and the efficient tree genetic breeding improvement. Here, we addressed this necessity by developing a genome-wide genotyping protocol with double-digestion restriction site associated DNA sequencing (ddRAD-seq) and we provided evaluation for the tens of thousands of genetic loci identified with linkage analysis and genetic map was generated.
