Heat stress gene expression in three notothenioid species

The datasets were cDNA sequence reads generated from Illumina HySeq2500 sequencing of reverse transcribed RNA derived from three notothenioid fish species. The sequence data are raw reads from the sequencer that anyone can use and analyze using their own bioinformatics tool set. The three species were heat stressed with the same protocol, and gene expression induced by the stress was examined for the gill tissue, and comprise part of the data set. A multi-tissue transcriptome was also generated for each species for use in mapping the experimental gill sequence reads to quantify levels of all expressed genes. This comprise the rest of the data set.
