Paris catacombs - The Crossroad of Death (2)

The Crossroad of Death (in French: *Le Carrefour des Morts*) is one of the most impressive places out of the 200 miles of galleries, rooms and chambers. It's made of two curved tunnel travels completely around, forming a rotunda with passages radiating from it in a wheel-spoke fashion. Thousands of bodies from where moved here from different origins: anonymous graves of the Montparnasse cemetery (above), bodies found during road work in Paris, and a cholera epidemic.
