Respiratory Viruses Network

The RespVir Network aims to provide a valid picture of the current epidemiological spread by systematically recording respiratory infections.

In September 2014, with the support of experts from the field of medical bacteriology, the Respiratory Network was expanded to include the spectrum of bacteriological pathogens of respiratory diseases. Two years later, the Gastroenteritis Network was then established, which, analogous to the Respiratory Network, serves the surveillance of gastroenteritis pathogens. In the meantime, 15 centers are already registered in GastroNet, which document the emergence of pathogens (as of November 2017).
