Black and white photograph showing the dispensary at the mission hospital at Ama Achara, southeast Nigeria, run by the Primitive Methodist Missionary Society. Two female missionaries tend to a child sitting on his father's knee. The missionaries wear white dresses, black shoes and pith helmets with mosquito nets. Patients stand in the yard watching the female missionaries. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara Methodist Hospital.
