X-ray Emission from Hydrogen Poor PNe with SQUARE_BRACKET_OPENWCSQUARE_BRACKET_CLOSE-type Central Stars

The effects of heat conduction, though promising in application to Hrich PNe,are uncertain in the case of Hpoor PNe. Here, we propose observations of twoHpoor, WCtype, PNe, NGC 6369 and NGC 1501. These two PNe, which harborcentral stars with high effective temperatures, will provide heretofore missingconstraints on evolutionary models of PNe and thereby motivate the developmentof Hpoor heat conduction studies. The large (2030 radii), well defined shellsof these nebulae, combined with their moderate extinction and relativeproximity, make them optimal candidates for Xray detection and study inmoderate (40 and 25 ks) exposure times with XMMNewton. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
