The purpose of the experiment presented here was to test the effect of SCML2 on apoptosis in unstressed condition or after DNA damage, and whether this effect was regulated by USP7.
Conclusion:
In unstressed conditions, SCML2A or SCML2B but not SCML2A (S441A) or SCML2B (S441A) overexpression led to increased cell apoptosis in RPE1 cells. On the contrary, SCML2A or SCML2B overexpression prevented cell apoptosis in RPE1 cell after CPT treatment. Per-channel empirical distribution comparison
