This data set contains the simulation results for the performance of virtual power plants with heat pumps and electric vehicles under communication protocol constraints. Each virtual power plant consists of 100 devices that are controlled by one out of two different control algorithms. The device parameters are drawn from a uniform distribution. To calculate the performance, each virtual power plant is simulated in three instances in parallel: One instance provides upward flexibility, one instance provides downward flexibility, and one instance runs in baseline operation. Flexibility is requested three times per day for one hour each.
