Ramsey County Attorney's Office Adult and Youth Referral and Charging Data

This data set includes adult and youth referrals from law enforcement, and charging data from the Ramsey County Attorney's Office.
• Some referred cases are still pending review.
• There may be multiple charges per case, and the lead charge is “Count 1”.
• For adults, data primarily includes felony-level cases. With a few exceptions, misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor cases are prosecuted by city attorney offices.
• For youth, data includes all levels of cases.
• Data is based on the lead alleged violation in the case, both for referrals and petitions. • Age data is based on age at date of incident.
• Race data is based on information provided in the referral and may be updated if we receive new information.
