This dataset describes the participation of Europe's regions in Domestic and Global Value Chains (GVCs and DVCs respectively) and their internal and external export specializations in four broad industrial activities, formulated under an input-output based decomposition framework. The primary data sources for EU-RESVC include the EUREGIO regional input-output database, Eurostat's regional statistics database, and GDP deflator data from the World Bank. EU-RESVC covers the GVC/DVC participation and specialization of 243 NUTS-2 level subnational EU regions for 2000-2010, including supplementary data on their knowledge base and innovation output.
